Andrey Belyakov, CFA

Andrey Belyakov, CFA, has a diverse background in finance and investment. Andrey is the founder of Opium.Team, a company they started in October 2017. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Investment at Triple Duck Capital BV starting in July 2017.

Andrey has also worked as a private investor at Ethereum since 2015. Before that, they held various roles at Aegon Asset Management, including Senior Fund Manager and Fixed Income Portfolio Manager. In these roles, Andrey managed multi-billion euro fixed income portfolios, including insurance linked portfolios, investment funds, and overlay strategies. Andrey was responsible for trading a range of financial instruments and achieved outperformance for five years.

Earlier in their career, Andrey worked as a Fixed Income Analyst at Transamerica and as a Quantitative Analyst at Aegon Asset Management. Andrey also gained consulting experience at KPMG Advisory. Overall, Andrey has a strong background in investment management and has demonstrated success in various roles throughout their career.

Andrey Belyakov, CFA, holds a Master's degree in Mathematics from Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU), where they studied from 2003 to 2008. In 2009, they attended the Amsterdam Business School, earning a Master of Science in International Finance with a focus on Corporate Finance and Banking. Alongside their educational achievements, Andrey Belyakov has also obtained the CFA certification from the CFA Institute.
