José Augusto Paiva

José Augusto Paiva has extensive work experience in the technology industry. José Augusto is currently the Chief Technology Officer at Opportunity Network, a role they began in September 2021. Prior to this, they held various positions at the same company, including Lead Full-Stack Software Engineer / Tech Lead and Lead Full-Stack Software Engineer / Tech Intelligence.

Before joining Opportunity Network, José worked at Homelend Tecnologia as a Lead Full-Stack Software Engineer from 2015 to 2019. Prior to that, they held the position of Lead Full-Stack Software Engineer at PixMe.com.br and ECM from 2012 to 2014.

José co-founded TNO Consultoria Tecnológica e Empresarial in 2010 and served as the Cofounder & Lead Full-Stack Software Engineer. In this role, they helped design tax engine software and received multiple awards from FINEP, a Brazilian Federal Government organization.

Prior to TNO, José worked as the Lead Full-Stack Software Engineer & IT Manager at Tyno Consultoria Tributária e Empresarial from 2007 to 2010. José Augusto also gained experience as a Software Developer at CPM Braxis from 2006 to 2007 and as a Programmer at Centro de Processamento de Dados (UFBA) from 2005 to 2006.

José Augusto Paiva obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, specializing in Mobile Computing and Software Development, from Faculdade Ruy Barbosa. José Augusto completed this degree program from 2003 to 2007. In 2009, José began pursuing an Especialist degree in Distributed Systems at Universidade Federal da Bahia. However, completion of this degree is pending due to an unfinished final project.
