Imon Kundu

Imon Kundu possesses extensive expertise in photonics, currently serving as the Head of Photonics at Optalysys since November 2019, following a substantial tenure at the University of Leeds from April 2014 to November 2021, where roles included Visiting Researcher and Post Doctoral Research Fellow. Kundu's research focused on the development of terahertz-frequency science and technology, particularly involving quantum cascade lasers (QCL) for various applications, such as security and spectroscopy. Prior experience includes a position as Assistant Systems Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services from January 2008 to October 2009. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Frequency Tunable Terahertz Quantum Cascade Lasers and an MSc in Nanotechnology and Advanced Electronic Devices, both obtained from the University of Leeds, along with a B. Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology.
