Leon Barker

Leon Barker has a diverse work experience in accounting and finance. Leon is currently working as an Accounting Controller at OPTiMO Information Technology since February 2021. Prior to this, they were the Principal Owner of Milagros USA llc, where they acquired well-established clients and merged consulting activities with a well-established client base to expand offerings. Leon also served as an Online Instructor at Brigham Young University - Idaho from December 2019 to April 2022 and as an Assistant Professor Of Accounting at Southern Virginia University from July 2019 to July 2020.

Before their teaching roles, Leon was the CEO of EZ Operations LLC, where they focused on back-office administration for government contractors. Leon also worked as the CFO at Navanti Group LLC, where they implemented cost-saving measures and oversaw various financial initiatives. Additionally, they served as the CFO at Evolvent and as the VP of Finance/Controller at QinetiQ North America.

Leon's earlier experiences include working at Harris Corporation (Harris IT Services) as an Accounting Manager, where they managed key controls for SOX compliance and streamlined the close process. Leon also worked as a Senior Internal Auditor at Harris Corporation and as a Senior Financial Auditor at Ernst & Young, where they gained industry experience in various sectors such as pharmaceuticals, telecom-fiber optics, government contracting software, biotech, and manufacturing.

Leon Barker has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Entrepreneurial and Small Business Operations from Utah State University, obtained in 2000. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Weber State University in 1996.
