Alexandra Joy Hoerr

Alexandra Hoerr, LCPC is the owner and therapist at Optimum Joy Clinical Counseling, a practice specializing in holistic mental health services in Chicago since October 2016. Prior to this, Alexandra served as a child therapist at Kid Matters Counseling, P.C., where short-term clinical services were provided to parents of children facing various behavioral challenges. Between January 2015 and September 2016, Alexandra worked at Outreach Community Ministries as a job coach, case manager, and associate therapist, contributing to the Employment Opportunity Program for low-income young adults. Alexandra also gained experience as a counseling intern with Outreach Community Ministries and held teaching assistant positions at Wheaton College and Hannibal-LaGrange University, while initially working as a barista at Starbucks from September 2008 to January 2015. Alexandra holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Hannibal-LaGrange College.
