Victoria Gonzalez

Victoria Gonzalez is a dedicated Clinical Counselor at Optimum Joy Clinical Counseling since August 2023, with prior experience as a Counseling Intern at Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System from October 2022 to August 2023. Victoria has a solid background in mental health, having worked as a Mental Health Specialist at UHS HARTGROVE HOSPITAL from May 2021 to August 2023, providing direct patient care and crisis intervention. As a member of the Board of Directors for Cerniquem from May 2017 to August 2020, Victoria contributed to psychological counseling efforts aimed at aiding the rehabilitation of severely burnt children and their families. Additional experience includes a practicum at St Mark Catholic Grade School, where assessments for children's social and learning skills were conducted, and an internship at the Instituto Oncológico del Oriente Boliviano, focusing on pediatric cancer patients. Victoria holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Minor in Health from Bradley University.
