Augusto Alviarez

Augusto Alviarez is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project management and engineering, currently serving as a Senior Project Manager at Optimus Steel USA since March 2020. In this role, Augusto has managed significant capital projects, including upgrades and installations related to continuous casting machinery and overhead cranes. Prior to this, Augusto spent 14 years at Ternium, holding multiple positions where responsibilities included overseeing critical projects in both the Meltshop and Rolling Mill departments, such as automation systems and revamps of essential equipment. Augusto’s career began at SIDOR as a Junior Maintenance Engineer, where maintenance planning was a primary focus. Academically, Augusto is pursuing a Master of Engineering Management at Lamar University, complemented by a Maintenance Management Specialist degree and a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering.
