Jawad Popalzai's work experience began in 2006 as a Fellow Hematology/Oncology at Staten Island University Hospital, where they worked until 2013. In 2013, they joined Southern Illinois Healthcare as a Physician. Jawad then became the Medical Director in 2019, leading efforts to improve cancer care and reduce cancer incidence in the community. In 2020, Jawad founded DataRovers and became the Founder/CEO. Additionally, in the same year, they also co-founded OptimusFox.
Jawad Popalzai completed their Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree at Nishtar Medical College in Multan, Pakistan from 1999 to 2004. Jawad obtained additional certifications in their field, including Board Certified Internal Medicine and Board Certified Hematology from the American Board of Internal Medicine in December 2013. Jawad also achieved Medical Oncology Board Certification from the same institution in December 2013. In September 2020, Jawad Popalzai pursued a certification in Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
