Alex Smith

Alex Smith is currently the Head of Transactional Liability at Optio since February 2019. Prior to this, Alex worked as an Underwriting Director at Capital Risks Limited from August 2017 to December 2018, where the company specialized in underwriting Transaction Liability Insurance for small and medium-sized deals. Alex also has experience as an Associate M&A at AIG from May 2014 to August 2017, focusing on M&A and transaction liability business. Additionally, Alex worked as an Analyst at Kinmont Limited from May 2013 to April 2014, a FCA registered corporate finance boutique. Alex holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Law and English Literature from the University of Strathclyde.
