Steve Thompson

Steve Thompson has over 40 years of experience in the insurance industry. Steve has worked in various roles, including Head of Accident & Health, Divisional Director, A&H Rating Specialist, and Head of Programmes and Facilities. Steve has worked for companies such as Optio, Shepherd Compello, CKI Consultancy Limited, Nexus Underwriting Management Limited, Aspen Insurance Group, Advent Underwriting Limited, AmTrust Europe Limited, Canopius Group, AIG Direct, and AIG. Their expertise lies in underwriting Accident & Health products, building rating engines, product development, technical underwriting, policy wordings, sales and marketing, and management of niche/scheme binder business. Steve has experience working with clients in the UK, Europe, Asia, Australia, and the United States.

Steve Thompson obtained a Fellowship in Insurance from ANZIIF, which they pursued from 1995 to 2003. Before that, they attended St Thomas of Canterbury College from 1974 to 1981. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the ANZIIF certification in 1993 and recently became a Fellow CIP Member from ANZIIF in December 2021.
