Maria Lando

Maria Lando has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Their most recent role is as the Director of Business Development at Optitex, where they focus on identifying and nurturing new business expansion areas, providing technical sales support through product innovations and external partnerships, and analyzing industry trends to incorporate into product roadmaps.

Prior to their current role, Maria worked at EFI | Optitex where they served as the 3D Team and Technical Ecosystem Manager. Their responsibilities included creating a rich ecosystem of partnerships to enhance the company's product offering, improving communication and collaboration across teams, and managing multi-continent teams.

Before joining Optitex, Maria worked at Varian Medical Systems. In this role, they were involved in the design and development of algorithms for radio-surgery planning and patient positioning for the treatment of various cancers. Maria Lando holds a M.Sc. degree in applied mathematics and computer science from the Weizmann Institute of Science. Maria obtained their M.Sc. degree from 1992 to 1994. Prior to obtaining their M.Sc. degree, Maria earned a B.Sc. degree in Applied Mathematics from Moscow Technological University (Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys). Maria completed their B.Sc. degree from 1988 to 1991. Besides their formal education, Maria Lando also obtained a certification in "Introduction to TensorFlow for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning" from Coursera, Deeplearning.ai in June 2019.
