Damian Korchan

Damian Korchan has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Damian started their career as a Student Practice at Siemens, where they provided support in java-based projects development. Damian then worked at RINF as a Programmer before joining Nokia Siemens Networks as a Software Development Engineer. At Nokia Siemens Networks, Damian was involved in developing web-based java projects and integrating them with existing verification environments. Damian also gained experience in using various technologies such as JPA, Hibernate, XML, XPath, and jQuery. Damian later moved to Redknee, where they held multiple roles including Software Development Engineer, Software Architect, and Senior Consultant. Damian worked closely with clients in different locations, including Dar Es Salaam, Bengaluru, and Johannesburg, and was responsible for designing and implementing a flagship BSS product. Currently, Damian is employed at Optiva Inc. as a Principal Software Engineer, where they continue to contribute their expertise and skills.

Damian Korchan attended the Univeristy of Wroclaw Department of Mathematics and Computer Science from 1999 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor of Computer Science degree in Computer Science. Damian continued their education at the same institution from 2003 to 2007, focusing on Computer Science. Damian has also obtained additional certifications, including KCNA: Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate from The Linux Foundation in June 2022 and certifications in Big Data Integration and Processing and Big Data Modeling and Management Systems from Coursera in 2018 and 2017 respectively.
