Peter Schmid

Peter Schmid has held a variety of positions in the telecommunications and hospitality industries. Peter began their career in 1984 as a Cook at S&W Restaurant, a family business. In 1994, they became an Electronics Technician at Roth Novelty Company, where they were responsible for diagnostics and repair of printed circuit boards, CRT television assemblies, coils, relays, and wiring harnesses for entertainment equipment. In 1995, they became a Structured Cable Systems Installer at Commonwealth Communications, where they installed, terminated, and tested Category 3 and Category 5 & 5e voice and data cable and fiber optic cable.

In 1996, they joined Commonwealth Telephone Company as a Sales Engineer, where they were responsible for PBX Systems Engineering and completing pricing estimates for new telephone system installations and system upgrades of all Northern Telecom Meridian 1 and Norstar products and applications. In 2007, they returned to Optivor Technologies, LLC as a Sr. Sales Engineer, where they provided solutions on Avaya PBX/VoIP Systems and heritage Nortel systems and applications. In 2012, they joined CSG Global as a Sr. Sales Engineer, where they provided complex design solutions of Avaya, Nortel, and ShoreTel Unified Communications systems for large customer base. Finally, in 2017, they returned to Optivor Technologies, LLC as a Sales Engineering Manager, where they supported the company's U.S. Government customer base as well as commercial accounts.

Peter Schmid has a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology BSEET from Pennsylvania State University-Capitol Campus Harrisburg, which they obtained between 1990 and 1995. Peter also has an Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology EET from Pennsylvania State University-Penn State Wilkes-Barre, which they obtained between 1987 and 1990. Additionally, Peter Schmid holds various certifications from Avaya, Cisco, Comdial, Hubbell Incorporated, Microsoft, Nortel Networks, New Horizons Computer Learning Centers, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), ShoreTel, and Qualified Sales Professional - Nortel.
