Aaron Brettin Ph.D.

Aaron Brettin, Ph.D., has a diverse work experience spanning from academia to industry. Aaron'smost recent position is as an Application Sales Manager at Opto-Alignment Technology, Inc., where they have been working since January 2023. Prior to this role, they served as an Application Sales Engineer at the same company from February 2020 to January 2023.

Before joining Opto-Alignment Technology, Inc., Dr. Brettin worked as a Research Supervisor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from January 2019 to January 2020. During their time as a graduate student at UNC Charlotte, Dr. Brettin worked as a Research Assistant in the mesophotonics lab under the guidance of Dr. Vasily Astratov. Aaron'sresearch focused on optical super-resolution. Additionally, they completed summer internships at UES, Inc., at the Air Force Research Laboratory in 2015, 2016, and 2017.

Aaron Brettin Ph.D. earned a Master's degree in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, which they attended from 2013 to 2015. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Optics/Optical Sciences at the same university from 2013 to 2018.
