Lynn McManus

Lynn McManus has over 30 years of work experience, starting in 1986 as an Industrial Training Student at NCR Corporation. Lynn then worked as a Hardware Development Engineer at NCR Corporation from 1988 to 1990 and as a Research Assistant at Edinburgh Napier University from 1990 to 1994. From 1994 to 2007, Lynn worked at NCR Corporation in various Hardware Development Engineer roles, including Senior Hardware Development Engineer in both the Core Electronics & Entry Level ATM Groups and the Dispenser Group, and Senior Hardware Development Engineer in the Media-In Group. Lynn then joined Johnson Matthey Battery Systems as a Senior Electronics Engineer from 2007 to 2009. Lynn's most recent position is at Optos, where they have been working as a Senior Hardware Engineer since 2018.

Lynn McManus has a diverse education history. Lynn began their academic journey at Grove Academy in Broughty Ferry, Dundee, where they completed their high school education from 1979 to 1984. Afterward, Lynn pursued a bachelor's degree in Electronics and Microcomputer Systems from the University of Dundee, completing their studies from 1984 to 1988.

Eager to further their knowledge in the field, Lynn then enrolled at Edinburgh Napier University and pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from 1990 to 1995. During this time, their research focused on Logic Synthesis and Optimisation using Reed-Muller Expansions, showcasing their dedication to the field of technology and engineering.

Continuing their educational journey, Lynn pursued a Master's Degree in Software Engineering from Abertay University, where they studied from 1997 to 2000. This degree provided their with additional expertise in the practical aspects of software development.

In addition to their academic achievements, Lynn has obtained certifications to further enhance their professional qualifications. Lynn is a Chartered Engineer, certified by the Engineering Council, and a member of The Institution of Engineering and Technology, holding the designation of M.I.E.T.
