Steven Reid

Steven Reid has a strong background in software engineering, with their most recent role being a Senior Software Engineer at Optos since 2012. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Picsel UK from 2002 to 2012, focusing on software development. Steven also gained experience as a Senior Software Engineer at Electrum from 2000 to 2001 and at Panasonic OWL from 1996 to 2000. Steven's career in software engineering started at DMA Design in 1991, where they worked as a Software Engineer until 1996.

Steven Reid has a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science from the University of Dundee. Steven also holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) degree in Mathematics from the same institution. Additionally, Steven has obtained various certifications including the Certified SAFe® 5 Product Owner/Product Manager from Scaled Agile, Inc., as well as certifications in ASP.NET Core development, REST API building using Python and deployment to Microsoft Azure, building scalable data pipelines with Kafka, cloud computing fundamentals, Git usage, performance test automation, securing REST APIs, MongoDB performance, MongoDB data modeling, Vagrant and virtual machines, Redis, and several MongoDB-related courses including basics, cluster administration, diagnostic thinking, aggregation framework, .NET development, diagnostics and debugging. Steven has also completed courses on C# concurrency for senior engineering interviews and medical image analysis in Python.
