Michal Gasparik

Michal Gasparik has a strong background in finance and controlling. Michal currently holds the position of Head of Finance and Controlling at Optotune since May 2023. Prior to that, they were the Group Leader of Finance from November 2022 to April 2023 and Group Controller from February 2022 to October 2022.

Before joining Optotune, Michal worked as the Head of Controlling and Planning at Saneca Pharmaceuticals a.s., the largest pharmaceutical company in the Slovak Republic, from May 2017 to August 2021. Michal was responsible for leading and developing activities at the Controlling department, implementing a new SAP CO concept, and managing the BI tool, Microsoft Power BI, among other duties.

From December 2014 to May 2016, Michal served as the Financial Controller at BEZ TRANSFORMATORY, overseeing controlling responsibilities and supporting the implementation of SAP CO. Michal also worked as the Controlling Manager at Airport Bratislava from February 2014 to October 2014.

Earlier in their career, Michal held positions at Samsung Display, where they served as the Financial Controlling Team Leader from September 2011 to February 2014 and as a Financial Controller from September 2007 to September 2011.

Michal Gasparik began their education in 1998 at Gymnazium A. Bernolaka, where they completed their secondary education. Then, from 2002 to 2007, they attended Ekonomická univerzita v Bratislave, where they obtained a Master of Economics degree with a specialization in Insurance Mathematics.
