Traci Thoureen

Traci Thoureen, MD, MMCi, FACEP, is a seasoned medical professional currently serving as the National Medical Director at Optum since August 2024. Prior to this role, Traci held the position of Associate Medical Director at Landmark Health, where leadership involved managing a team to provide home-based care for polychronic patients and engaging in quality improvement efforts. Traci's expertise in clinical informatics is evidenced through participation in the Clinical Technology Advisory Group and contributions to electronic health record enhancements. With an extensive academic background, Traci has held various faculty positions, including Associate Professor at Duke University Medical Center and the University of Maryland School of Medicine, while also earning advanced degrees in management and health sciences from Duke University and a medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine. Traci has cultivated a strong focus on education and interdisciplinary collaboration throughout a distinguished career in emergency medicine and clinical leadership.
