D.j. Murphy

DJ Murphy is an experienced emergency medical professional currently serving as an Emergency Medical Technician with the Orange County (N.C.) Government since September 2021. Murphy has gained valuable experience through various roles including an Emergency Management Intern with the UNC Office of Emergency Management and Planning from January to April 2024, and as a Thorpe Undergraduate Intern with the Town of Chapel Hill in 2023. Previous positions include Emergency Medical Technician roles at Duplin County EMS and MedEx Medical Transport, and serving as a Shift Leader at Dairy Queen. DJ Murphy is pursuing a Master of Science in Strategic Leadership at North Carolina Wesleyan University, following the completion of a Bachelor of Arts in Human & Organizational Leadership Development from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
