Sydney Mason is an experienced paramedic with a background in emergency medical services, currently serving with Orange County Emergency Services since October 2021. Previous roles include an internship at the NC State Bureau of Investigation, where Sydney contributed to the Information Sharing and Analysis Center, and various positions at UNC, including as a bookseller and an operations ambassador, promoting a safe environment at campus recreation facilities. Additional experience includes research assistance at the Combating Terrorism Center, focusing on insurgent attacks and state support for violent actors, as well as design work for simulations at the National Defense University. Sydney is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Biodefense at George Mason University after earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Peace, War, and Defense from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
