Tonya Stancil

Tonya Stancil is an accomplished public health professional with extensive experience in infection prevention and health education. Currently serving as the Regional Infection Prevention Support Coordinator for Orange County (N.C.) Government since June 2021, Tonya coordinates the Regional Infection Prevention (RIPS) team and manages budgets. Tonya's previous roles include Public Health Educator/Consultant, Project Manager at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and various positions in healthcare and research. A holder of multiple degrees, including a Master's in Public Health/MBA from Benedictine University and a MMS in Physician Assistant Studies from Wake Forest University, Tonya has a strong foundation in epidemiology and health education, complemented by certifications in public health practice from Johns Hopkins University.
