Kimmo Kuvaja has a diverse work experience in various industries. Kimmo started their career in the Finnish Defence Forces, where they completed their military service. Kimmo then joined Valmet Automotive, where they held multiple leadership roles, including Director of Quality & Environment and Vice President of the Fisker Karma Project. In these positions, they were responsible for product quality, operational development, management systems, and environmental standards. Kimmo also served as the Manager of Porsche Liaison, where they managed daily cooperation between Porsche AG and Valmet Automotive. Additionally, they worked as a Project Coordinator for the Porsche Program and Engineer in Change Management. Prior to their time at Valmet Automotive, Kimmo worked at Turun Osuuskauppa as a Member of the Supervisory Board. Currently, they hold the position of Director, QHSE at Oras Group, where they oversee overall responsibility for quality, occupational health & safety, environment, energy, and sustainability across multiple factories.
Kimmo Kuvaja completed their Bachelor of Science (Eng.) degree from Satakunta University of Applied Sciences between 1996 and 2001. In 2008, they participated in the JOKO - Business Competence Programme at Turku School of Economics, where they completed 1/3 of an eMBA. Additionally, they attended Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences from 1999 to 2000, but it is unclear whether they obtained a degree or pursued a specific field of study there.
