Elena Quero Granado

Elena Quero Granado has a diverse work experience in the aerospace industry. Elena started their career as an Engineer Intern at Airbus Group Inc., providing support in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul activities. Elena then collaborated with Universidad de Sevilla on a project involving the study of meteorological uncertainties for airplane trajectory planning. Following that, they conducted a research internship at Institut Pprime, focusing on the experimental study of doublet/triplet spray injectors for satellite propulsion.

In 2018, Elena participated in the Concurrent Engineering Challenge at the European Space Agency, where they worked on the design of the propulsion subsystem for a constellation of satellites. Elena also completed a final project internship at Safran, where they conducted theoretical and numerical aerodynamic analyses to estimate interference pressure losses in a secondary flow of a turbofan engine.

From 2019 to 2023, Elena pursued a Ph.D. at ONERA - The French Aerospace Lab, specializing in the Rocket Propulsion Laboratory team. During their time there, they worked on multi-physics for energetics and focused their research on rocket propulsion.

In 2023, Elena will join Orbex as a Propulsion Modelling Engineer.

Elena Quero Granado has a diverse educational background spanning both the fields of engineering and music. Elena obtained a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Universidad de Sevilla in 2016, followed by a Master's degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the same institution in 2019. During their Master's studies, they also pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Aeronautical Mechanics and Energetics from ISAE-ENSMA, which they completed in 2019 as well.

In addition to their engineering qualifications, Elena has a Professional Title of Music in Cello from the School of Music Francisco Guerrero, where they studied from 2007 to 2013.

Although their education history does not specifically mention the month or year they obtained additional certifications, Elena has a Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) from the University of Cambridge and a Diplôme d'études en langue française DELF B2 from the Ministère de l'Éducation nationale.
