Jason Makela

Jason Makela is a highly experienced engineer who currently serves as the VP of Engineering at Orbion Space Technology. Prior to their current role, Jason held positions at Aerojet Rocketdyne, Aerojet Rocketdyne via PRO Unlimited, Aerophysics Inc, Michigan Technological University, and Triton Science and Technology. Jason has extensive experience in the research, development, qualification, and production of Electric Propulsion technologies. Jason has also co-founded a company and contributed to significant inventions in the field of spacecraft electron sources. Jason's educational background includes a BSME and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
