Kathrine Zahm

Kathrine Zahm has a diverse work experience in education and instructional design. Kathrine is currently working as an Instructional Design Quality Assurance Analyst at Orbis Education since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a French Language Rater at Avant Assessment starting in May 2022.

From 2020 to 2022, Kathrine served as the Webmaster & Editor for the South Carolina Foreign Language Teachers’ Association (SCFLTA), where they updated and maintained the association's website and social media channels. During this time, they also wrote and edited articles for The Crescent Blog and promoted events to increase awareness and attendance.

In 2022, Kathrine briefly worked as a Curriculum Developer at Skyepack Inc. Kathrine was responsible for developing curriculum materials.

From 2012 to 2022, Kathrine worked as a French Immersion Teacher & Curriculum Specialist at Midway Elementary School. Their responsibilities included developing engaging math and science lessons in French, tailoring lessons to meet student needs, and mentoring colleagues on effective use of digital resources. Kathrine also served on the science committee and evaluated curriculum programs.

In 2020, Kathrine worked as a Curriculum Developer & Product Designer at the South Carolina Department of Education. During this time, they planned, developed, and published science and world language standards-aligned integrated performance assessments and curriculum materials for immersion educators. Kathrine also designed rubrics to assess language proficiency.

Prior to that, from 2010 to 2012, Kathrine worked as a Teacher & Instructional Designer at LangO, where they created instruction aligned with Lango curriculum standards and taught French in K-5 classrooms.

Through their various roles, Kathrine has gained experience in curriculum development, instructional design, language assessment, and web editing.

Kathrine Zahm pursued a Master of Education - MEd degree specializing in Educational Technology from the University of Arkansas from 2018 to 2020. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education degree from the University of South Carolina. The specific field of study for their Bachelor's degree is not provided.
