John Vastardis

John Vastardis serves as the Carrier Team One Program Manager and Knowledge Sharing Systems Owner at Orbis Inc since December 2019, where efforts focus on enhancing knowledge sharing and improving integration among information systems in the carrier maintenance community. Prior to this role, John Vastardis was a Senior Program Manager at Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) from June 1983 to May 2019, where oversight included 15,000 personnel involved in a $1.6 billion depot maintenance operation. As a retired Captain in the US Navy (RC), John Vastardis led Engineering Duty Officers at multiple naval shipyards, fostering teamwork and exceptional support for shipbuilding and maintenance contracts. John Vastardis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Engineering from the US Merchant Marine Academy, earned between 1979 and 1983.
