J. Jill Hopkins, MD, is a highly experienced leader in the field of ophthalmology, currently serving as Chief Medical Officer and President of Research & Development at Aura Biosciences since October 2023. Previously, J. Jill Hopkins held the position of CEO at Gyroscope Therapeutics from April 2022 to October 2023 and served as Senior Vice President and Global Head of the Ophthalmology Development Unit at Novartis from March 2021 to October 2023. Additional roles include Global Head of Ophthalmology Personalized Health Care at Genentech/Roche, Vice President of Ophthalmology at UNITY Biotechnology, and various leadership and clinical positions at Genentech and Retina Vitreous Associates.
