Thalia Pillay

Thalia Pillay is a skilled professional with a strong background in engineering and software development. Currently serving as Co-Founder at Orca Fraud since January 2024, Thalia previously held roles as Engineering Team Lead and Software Engineer at Stitch from April 2022 to January 2024. Thalia's earlier experience includes a fellowship with Woman in Engineering, along with positions as Software Engineer at Aerobotics and Software Developer at Investec, where Thalia was also part of the Investec IT Scholarship and the World Readiness Programme. Thalia served as Treasurer for IEEE from September 2015 to September 2016 and completed internships with Zululand Engineering and the Model United Nations Development Organization in 2016. Thalia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from the University of Cape Town and was Dux of St Mary's DSG in high school.
