Amir Akhtar

Amir Akhtar has a strong background in channel management and sales, with experience working for several technology companies. Amir began their career at Equanet as a Sales Account Manager, where they targeted corporate and government accounts and managed the sales cycle. Amir then moved to Morpheus IT as a Sales Account Manager, focused on generating new business and managing existing customer accounts within the IT VAR market. Following that, Akhtar worked at COMPUTERLINKS as a Professional Services Sales Manager, strategically aligning with product managers and forging relationships with technology vendors to drive revenue growth. Amir then joined Arrow ECS EMEA as the Head of Services for MEA & APAC, responsible for managing presales/systems engineers and ensuring business continuity across regions. After that, they worked at Veeam Software in various roles, including Territory Manager and Manager of Channels & Distribution. Most recently, they have been working at Illumio as a Channel Account Director, responsible for the Middle East, Turkey, Africa, and Eastern Europe regions. Akhtar is currently the Channel Director EMEA at Orca Security.

Amir Akhtar attended Woking High School and received GCSE qualifications. Later, they enrolled at Guildford College for Higher Education from 2003 to 2005, where they pursued Business Studies BTEC National Diploma.
