Marcus Jentsch, CFA

Marcus Jentsch, CFA has extensive work experience in various financial and advisory roles. Marcus currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Orcan Energy AG, a position they have held since April 2022. Prior to their current role, Marcus worked as a Senior Advisor and Beirat at Clairfield International GmbH from 2017 onwards. From 2018 to March 2022, they were the CFO of Jolt Energy Group. Marcus also served as the CFO of Green City AG from 2020 to 2021. Before joining Jolt Energy Group, they were a Senior Advisor and Beirat at Atreus GmbH for the year 2019. Prior to that, Marcus held the role of CFO at juwi AG from 2015 to 2017 and served as Acting CFO, Head of Finance and Investor Relations at MVV Energie AG from 2010 to 2015. Additionally, they held various leadership positions at MVV Energie AG, including Group Department Head Investor Relations from 2007 to 2009, Head of the Department Structured Finance from 2004 to 2007, and Group Leader in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Project Finance from 2002 to 2004. Earlier in their career, Marcus worked as a Vice President in Investment Banking at Lazard from 2000 to 2001.

Marcus Jentsch, CFA earned their Bachelor's degree in Wirtschaftswissenschaften from Universität Passau, where they studied from 1989 to 1994. In 2014, they became a CFA Charterholder after completing their studies at CFA Institute. In 2017, Marcus attended IfUS-Institut to obtain certification as a Certified Restructuring and Turnaround Advisor.
