Gunther Busam

Gunther Busam serves as Vice President of Manufacturing Technology and Supply at Orchard Therapeutics since November 2024. Prior experience includes a role as Executive Director and Global Product Lead for Breyanzi at Bristol Myers Squibb from 2019 to October 2024, where Gunther led strategic initiatives and a multidisciplinary team for product development. Additionally, Gunther was Senior Director of the EU JPN CAR-T Supply Chain, establishing European operations for CAR-T assets. Gunther's tenure at Novartis from 2000 to 2018 encompassed various leadership positions, including Head of Procurement for Cell and Gene Therapies, contributing to the first-in-class launch of Kymriah. Gunther's educational background includes degrees in Pharmaceutics and Biology from The University of Freiburg.
