NOAC Sound Designer at Order of the Arrow BSA

Zack Bennett is an accomplished professional in sound design and engineering with significant teaching and design experience. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Sound Design & Engineering at the University of North Georgia and as a Resident Sound Designer & Coordinator for the Gainesville Theatre Alliance since August 2022, Zack has also played a key role as the NOAC Sound Designer for the Order of the Arrow BSA since August 2021. Prior experience includes working as an AV Engineer for Prince Technologies, LLC, and as a Lecturer at Johnson University, where Zack taught courses in sound design. Zack's background features involvement with notable productions such as "Thoughts of a Colored Man" as an Associate Sound Designer and a Sound Design Fellow at Chautauqua Theater Company. Educational credentials include a Master of Fine Arts in Sound Design from Purdue University and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Theatre from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and East Tennessee State University. A foundation in sound technology and production management is complemented by extensive practical experience, including a role as a Sound Technician at Dollywood.
