Software Engineering Manager & Senior Engineer at Orderful

Jon Major has held a variety of roles over the past 21 years. In 2004, they co-founded FTF Development Inc. and in 1999, they joined Vision Direct Inc. as its first employee, where they were a Business Analyst and Project Manager. In 2006, they were an ESL Teacher at Eagle American School and in 2010, they were a Legal Researcher and Document Reviewer for the Commission of Inquiry into the Decline of Sockeye Salmon in the Fraser River. Jon then went on to be an Articled Student at Miller Thomson LLP and Duhaime Law in 2013 and 2012 respectively. In 2014, they were a Freelancer, doing Web Developer, Marketing Communications Manager and Photographer work, as well as volunteering with Ecotrust Canada. From 2015 to 2018, they worked at Pendo Rent as a Web and Lead Mobile Application Developer. Most recently, Jon Major has been a Software Development Manager & Senior Engineer, Senior Software Engineer Team Lead, and Software Engineer Team Lead at Orderful since 2018.

Jon Major's education history includes attending St. John's-Ravenscourt School, followed by obtaining a Bachelor of Science from The University of British Columbia. Jon then completed the Canadian Securities Course from the Canadian Securities Institute in 2007. After that, they obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from The University of British Columbia in 2010. In 2015, they attended Lighthouse Labs for Web Development.
