Chris Minnich

Chris Minnich currently serves as President of NWEA, following a role as CEO at the same organization from January 2018 to May 2023. Additionally, Chris serves as a member of the President's Diversity Advisory Community Council at the University of Oregon and co-chairs the Education Committee at Oregon Business & Industry. Previously, Chris was Executive Director of the Council of Chief State School Officers from September 2008 to December 2017 and held various positions at Pearson between 2005 and 2008, including Director of Assessment Academy. Earlier in the career, Chris was Director of Test Design at the Oregon Department of Education. Chris holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Washington.
