Cindy Wallace is the Director of Strategy & Business Development at Oregon Convention Center. Cindy has over 15 years of experience in the events and hospitality industry.
Cindy started their career as a planner with Educational Travel Services in April 1997. In their role, they were responsible for organizing educational trips for groups of students. After a year and a half in this role, they transitioned to Portland Spirit, where they managed sales and events. During their time at Portland Spirit, they grew sales significantly, eventually becoming the Director of Catering Sales at ARAMARK Expo Center. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing catering sales for all events at the Expo Center.
Cindy joined Oregon Convention Center in August 2003 as a Sales Manager. During their time at the Oregon Convention Center, they have been instrumental in growing sales in multiple markets, including Corporate, Social, Education, Environmental and Government. Cindy has also represented the facility and Portland at national conferences and tradeshows. In May 2012, they were promoted to their current role as Director of Strategy & Business Development.
