Organizing Manager - Operations at Oregon Food Bank

Ellie McDaniel has a diverse work experience spanning from 2017 to 2023. Ellie started their career as a State Policy & Education Initiatives Intern at The Williams Institute at UCLA School of Law in 2017. Ellie then became a Volunteer Coordinating Assistant and a Development and Community Engagement Intern at Children's Institute, Inc. (CII). In 2017, they also worked as a Student Affairs Liaison at the University of Southern California. In 2019, they interned at the 1736 Family Crisis Center before joining Children's Institute as a Program Coordinator. Ellie later progressed to roles such as Government Relations & Advocacy Coordinator and Government Relations & Advocacy Associate. Currently, they are working at Oregon Food Bank as a Campaign Coalitions Coordinator and will transition to the role of Lead Campaign Strategist in July 2023.

Ellie McDaniel completed their high school education at Saint Andrew's Episcopal School from 2011 to 2015, earning a High School Diploma. Ellie then attended the University of Southern California from 2015 to 2019, where they pursued a degree in Non-Governmental Organizations and Social Change with a focus on Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management. Additionally, in 2018, they had the opportunity to participate in the Oxford Consortium for Human Rights program at the University of Oxford, where they studied Ethical Human Migration & Refugee Policy.
