Evan Fontaine is an experienced engineer with a strong background in mechatronics and biomedical engineering. Currently serving as Lead Mechatronics Engineer at Astoria-Pacific, Inc. since November 2022, Evan is also a Senior Research Engineer at Oregon Health & Science University since July 2019, where key contributions include leading the ExoMini exoskeleton project and working on 3D printed Myo-Electric prosthetics. Previous roles include Biomedical Engineering Consultant at Dorsum, where numerous prototypes for an adaptive spine platform were developed, and Mechanical Engineering Intern at SICdrone, focusing on drone design and functionality. Early experiences include founding a robotics club at Archbishop Riordan High School and assisting in a special education setting. Evan holds a Master of Biomedical Engineering from the University of Portland and has a foundational education in mechanical engineering and pre-engineering.
