Rebekah Sobel

Rebekah Sobel is an experienced professional in museum leadership and program evaluation, currently serving as the Executive Director of the Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education since January 2024. Previously, Rebekah held the position of Policy Director in the Museum Programs Division at the U.S. National Archives and Records Administration from September 2022 to January 2024. Rebekah's extensive background includes roles as Affiliated Faculty at the University of Maryland College Park, Director of Interpretation at the Capital Jewish Museum, and Manager of Planning and Evaluation at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, where responsibilities encompassed strategic planning, program evaluation, and budgeting. Rebekah also served as Project Manager at Gallagher & Associates LLC and worked as an Adjunct Professor at George Washington University. Educational qualifications include a PhD and MA in Anthropology and Visual Communication from Temple University and a BA in Social Ecology from UC Irvine.
