Steve Patterson

Steven L. Patterson is an accomplished insurance executive and legal professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles within the insurance industry. Currently, Patterson serves as a Member of the Board of Governors for American Property and Casualty Insurers since October 2018 and holds the position of President and Chief Executive Officer at Oregon Mutual and Western Protectors Insurance Companies since May 2017. Additionally, Patterson has been the Executive Vice President of Oregon Mutual Insurance since August 2006, with responsibilities encompassing Human Resources, Finance, and legal compliance as Secretary-Treasurer and Vice President & General Counsel. Patterson's involvement in the insurance sector also includes serving as Chairman of the Oregon Insurance Guaranty Association since May 2014 and holding multiple positions in various insurance-related associations. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor from Willamette University College of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science, graduated with Highest Honors from Portland State University.
