Holly Bullock-Denniston's work experience begins with their current role as Vice President, People & Culture at OPB, which they started in September 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Vice President, Human Resources at the same organization from September 2020 to September 2021. From February 2020 to September 2020, Holly was the Senior Director of Human Resources at OPB, where they provided strategic HR direction on an organization-wide level. Before that, they served as the Director of Human and Volunteer Resources at OPB from December 2006 to February 2020, where they defined the strategy for human capital and its contribution to organizational results. Holly also held the roles of Director of Volunteer Resources and Manager, Volunteer Resources at OPB from September 2004 to December 2006 and from March 1999 to September 2004, respectively.
In addition to their work at OPB, Holly Bullock-Denniston has also worked as an Assistant Adjunct Professor at Portland State University from August 2010 to September 2012. Prior to this, they worked as a Graduate Mentor in University Studies at Portland State University from August 1997 to March 1999.
Before their time at Portland State University, Holly served as the Volunteer Coordinator at Human Solutions from January 1996 to August 1997, where they oversaw various programs and volunteer staff. Holly also played a role in the development of mentor and light duty worker programs. Holly started their career as a VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) at South Philadelphia Habitat for Humanity from November 1994 to October 1995.
Holly Bullock-Denniston obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Planning, Public Policy and Management from the University of Oregon, which they attended from 1990 to 1994. Holly further pursued their education at Portland State University, where they completed their Master's in Public Administration with a focus on Nonprofit Management from 1997 to 1999.
In addition to their academic achievements, Holly has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional qualifications. In 2003, they obtained the Certified Volunteer Administrator (CVA) certification from the Council for Certification in Volunteer Administration. Holly then obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification in January 2013 from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI. Finally, in December 2015, they obtained the SHRM-SCP certification from the SHRM Certification program.
