Shawn L. Scoville

Shawn L. Scoville has a strong background in fundraising and development. Shawn L. began their career at Georgetown University in 1988 as an Associate Director of Regional Relations. From 1995 to 1997, they served as the Director of Development for the Main Campus Libraries. Shawn then moved on to become the Director of Development for Georgetown College from 1997 to 2002, where they successfully led a six-member development team towards a $160 million goal. Shawn L. later took on the role of Associate Vice President for Main Campus Development in the Office of Alumni & University Relations, leading fundraising efforts for the main campus during Georgetown's $1 billion Third Century Campaign. In this role, they managed nine major gift fundraising units and oversaw an operating budget of $480,000. For the last eight years, Shawn has been with the Oregon State University Foundation, initially serving as the Senior Vice President of Development and Campaign Director from 2005 to 2013, where they played a key role in raising over $1.14 billion as the principal architect of The Campaign for OSU. Shawn L. then became the Executive Vice President, working alongside the President and CEO to develop advancement strategies and successfully oversee the foundation's fundraising efforts and operations in Portland. In 2020, Shawn was promoted to President & CEO of the Oregon State University Foundation, where they lead the organization in advancing the university's priorities and building meaningful engagement among its constituents.

Shawn L. Scoville completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English from Gettysburg College from 1984 to 1988. Prior to that, they attended Geneseo Central School from 1974 to 1984, but no specific degree or field of study was mentioned for this period.
