Jock Mills has extensive experience in public policy and government relations, currently holding a courtesy appointment at the OSU School of Public Policy since June 2023. At Oregon State University since January 2000, Jock serves as the Director of the University Legislative Scholars Program, which offers a non-credit course for upper-division students nominated for participation. Previously, Jock was the Director of Government Relations at Oregon State University, overseeing interactions with the state legislature and various governmental entities. Jock's background includes roles with Governor John Kitzhaber, managing the Task Force on Higher Education and serving as a liaison for the Willamette Restoration Initiative, as well as experience in the Oregon Legislature as a Committee Administrator/Legislative Analyst. Educational credentials include a Master of Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from UC Santa Barbara.
