Jennifer Niederst Robbins has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Jennifer started their career as a Production Manager and Book Designer at Little, Brown and Company from September 1988 to October 1992. Jennifer then worked as a Creative Director at Songline Studios, a subsidiary of O'Reilly, from June 1994 to June 1996. Following this, they worked as a Freelance Designer at Littlechair, Inc. starting in September 1996.
Jennifer also has a significant tenure at O'Reilly Media where they held multiple roles. Jennifer started as an Author in October 1994 and continues to hold that position. From October 1992 to August 1996, they also worked as the only book interior designer and had the opportunity to design the first commercial website, Global Network Navigator, in 1993. Jennifer returned to O'Reilly in January 2011 as a Senior UI Designer, Mobile until January 2014.
Additionally, Jennifer has gained experience as a Host/Producer of "Cooking with Rockstars," a video podcast that they hosted and produced from December 2002 to 2008. Jennifer worked closely with musical artists and their management during this time.
In 2013, Jennifer co-founded ARTIFACT Conference, which aimed to help web designers adapt their practices for mobile devices. Jennifer played a crucial role in creating the concept, programming sessions, speaker relations, marketing materials, and managing finances for six ARTIFACT events. Their involvement with the conference lasted from May 2013 to October 2019.
Jennifer Niederst Robbins obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Art, Design, and Art History from the University of Notre Dame. Jennifer completed their studies at the university from 1983 to 1987.
