Salem Tewolde has extensive work experience in supply chain, operations management, and project management. Salem currently serves as the Head of Supply Chain for Orexo AB publ, a position they have held since February 2019. Prior to this role, they worked as a Supply Manager for the same company from June 2018 to February 2019.
Before joining Orexo AB publ, Salem worked at Össur, an international orthopedics company. From November 2011 to November 2016, they served as the Operations Manager for the Nordic region, where they were responsible for managing the warehouse, purchasing, and production. Salem also led the implementation of Lean concepts and continuous improvement projects, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulations.
Prior to their role as Operations Manager, Salem served as the Logistics and Purchasing Manager for the Nordic region at Össur from May 2006 to November 2011. In this role, they managed supplier relationships, optimized materials and stock control, and negotiated deals with suppliers and forwarders.
Salem's earlier roles at Össur include Project Manager Operations - EMEA from January 2017 to April 2018, where they led projects in the EMEA region, and Project Management Nordic from May 2005 to 2006, where they planned and implemented new ERP systems. Salem also worked as an Assistant Accounting Manager from January 2004 to May 2005, handling payment processing, journal entries, and financial reporting.

Salem Tewolde began their education in 1991 at Celcius skolan Uppsala, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Finance, General. Salem successfully completed the program in 1993. Later, in 2001, Salem Tewolde enrolled in Jensen Education to pursue a Master's degree in Business/Managerial Economics. Their studies at Jensen Education were completed in 2003.
