Pantelis Vikatos

Pantelis Vikatos has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Pantelis currently holds the position of Head of Orfium Research at Orfium since October 2020, where they previously worked as a Data Scientist from November 2018 to October 2020. Prior to that, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche from January 2018 to November 2018. Pantelis also served as a Research Intern at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais from November 2016 to April 2017. Pantelis worked as a Data Engineer for a Horizon 2020 project at the University of Patras from March 2016 to November 2016. Before that, Pantelis gained experience as a Software Engineer at Intracom Telecom from April 2014 to October 2015. Pantelis also served as a Teaching Assistant and Assistant in various roles at the University of Patras, including Data Mining and Learning Algorithms and C language laboratory. Additionally, Pantelis worked as a Freelance Web Developer from September 2010 to October 2011. Pantelis began their career as an Assistant in Electronics laboratories at the University of Patras from October 2007 to May 2008.

Pantelis Vikatos pursued their education in the field of computer engineering and informatics at the University of Patras, where they completed a 5-year undergraduate program from 2005 to 2011. Following this, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science & Engineering with a specialization in Data Mining from the same university, completing their studies between 2011 and 2013. Pantelis further expanded their academic journey at the University of Patras, where they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Innovative Data Mining Techniques and Applications in Social Networks from 2014 to 2017.
