Juan Carlos Araneda Ferrer

Juan Carlos Araneda Ferrer is a seasoned professional in the field of substance use research and project management, currently serving as Project Manager and Senior Consultant at ES-CICAD/OAS since January 2017. Previously, Juan Carlos held various key roles including Senior Researcher and Project Coordinator for the UNODC, where responsibilities involved leading projects aimed at mitigating illicit drug problems within the Andean Community. Juan Carlos also coordinated the Global SMART Programme for Latin America at UNODC and worked as Head of the research and assessment team at SENDA.GOB in Chile. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Social Psychology from Universidad de Santiago de Chile and a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Psychology from Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil.
