Ramiro Gonzalez

Ramiro Gonzalez, AICP, CNU-A serves as the Director of Development at Origo Works since January 2024. Previously, Ramiro held various positions at the City of Brownsville, Texas, from November 2009 to October 2024, including Director of Government and Community Affairs, Government Affairs Liaison, and Redevelopment Manager, where responsibilities included coordinating downtown revitalization initiatives and overseeing the implementation of the Hike & Bike Plan. In an interim capacity, Ramiro also managed comprehensive and long-range planning activities, contributing to the creation of the City of Brownsville Master Hike & Bike Plan. Earlier experience includes a role as a Planner at Vincent Gerard and Associates, focusing on zoning ordinances for Wireless Telecommunication Systems. Ramiro holds a Master of Science in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Affairs from The George Washington University.
