Chanju Kim

Chanju Kim is a Senior Silicon Photonic Engineer at Oriole Networks, focusing on enhancing compute capacity and power efficiency in AI clusters through optical communication technology. Previously, Chanju served as a Senior Engineer at Phoelex, developing energy-efficient optical interconnects. At DTU - Technical University of Denmark, Chanju held roles as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Graduate Researcher, contributing to the commercialization of integrated photonic technology, leading a successful patent initiative, and supervising prototyping efforts. Earlier experiences include research at the Advanced Photonics Research Institute, where a high-energy solid-state laser system was developed, and at UCLA, where Chanju contributed to a machine vision system prototype. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Photonic Engineering from DTU, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from UCLA, and a B.S. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Yonsei University.
