Nilay Patel

Nilay Patel is a Structural Engineer with extensive experience in the engineering field, currently working at Orion Engineers, LLC since July 2020. Prior to this role, Nilay held positions at WSP USA from December 2016 to May 2020, where responsibilities included Building Structures, Movable Bridge Engineering, and functions as a Bridge Engineering Intern. Earlier experience includes an internship at Engineering Resource Associates, Inc. from May 2015 to August 2016, assisting in bridge design using AASHTO and IDOT Standards and performing calculations for various structural materials. Nilay Patel holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master of Engineering in Structural Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
