Riccardo Sabatini has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Riccardo began their career in 2012 as a Research Scientist at EPFL, where they worked until 2014. From 2014 to 2016, they served as a Research Scientist at Human Longevity, Inc. Riccardo then moved on to Orionis Biosciences, where they held the position of Chief Data Scientist from October 2016 onwards. In 2017, they became a Funding Member and Advisor at MIT ReACT. In 2018, they joined Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei as a Member of the Board, a role that they held until 2021. In 2019, they became a member of the Advisory Board for Eni Next. From 2020 onwards, they have held various advisory and expert roles, including being a Member of the Board of Advisors for Genomes2People and DMAT | performance matters, and an Expert Member for GPAI. In 2022, they joined Lio Factory, serving as a Board Member and DeepTech Advisor.
Riccardo Sabatini obtained their Bachelor's degree in Physics from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in 2003. Subsequently, in 2006, they pursued a Master's degree in Theoretical Physics from Università degli Studi di Trieste. In the same year, they also enrolled in Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati di Trieste to earn an M.Phil. degree in Theory and Numerical Simulation of Condensed Matter, which they completed in 2008. Furthermore, in 2009, Riccardo commenced their Ph.D. at the Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati di Trieste, specializing in Condensed Matter Theory and Simulation, and successfully completed it in 2012. During their educational journey, in 2003 and 2004, they embarked on an internship in Physics at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen. Moreover, in 2009, Riccardo attended the International Centre for Theoretical Physics to participate in an Advanced School in High Performance and GRID Computing. Lastly, they pursued a Master's degree in Economics with a focus on Complex Actions for the year 2011.
